The CSPM is pleased to work with Downtown Partnership’s charitable nonprofit affiliate, Downtown Ventures, to commemorate the leadership, vision, and accomplishments of women throughout Colorado Springs’ history. Throughout Women's History Month, we’re honored to highlight these important stories which are also featured in the CSPM’s collection and exhibits. The Cultural Corridor banners are on display along Pikes Peak Avenue between Cascade Avenue and Wahsatch Street.

March Volunteer of the Month: Kassandra Merryfield

Kassandra Merryfield, the CSPM March Volunteer of the Month, has dedicated 6 years of service to the museum! Kassandra has taken on a variety of roles over the years, demonstrating her extensive skills, passion for local history, and flexibility. She first began as a front desk volunteer and has since been leading school programs and supporting youth and family events, such as our fall Night at the Museum program.

The Jean Jackson Emery Memorial Internship Application is open for applications! The CSPM is currently seeking a highly motivated student for an 8- week internship working with our Collections and Education departments.

Know Before You Visit - Tejon Revitalization Project

Northbound Tejon Street, between Colorado Avenue and Pikes Peak Avenue, will close starting on Monday, March 24 through late June, as the Tejon Street Revitalization Project begins. Motorists and pedestrians can expect
- Closure to vehicles of northbound Tejon Street on Block 1 (Colorado Avenue to Pikes Peak Avenue)
- Closure of street parking in Block 1
- Mountain Metro's ZEB route will continue with a northbound detour, and the northbound stop on Tejon at Colorado will be removed temporarily

The Marshall and E.J. Sprague Scholarship was established in honor of the Spragues, who for generations served the people of the Pikes Peak Region and delighted in documenting and preserving the area’s rich heritage. The scholarship is intended to recognize students who show dedication toward and appreciation of the study of history. Marshall and E.J. Sprague were committed to family, community, and learning. Their work has exposed generations of people to the fascinating history of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region, and has encouraged people to explore and protect the world around us. Their commitment to education is carried on through this scholarship.
