SERVICE TO THE HOMELESS IN OUR COMMUNITY

Greetings Fellow Suburban Servants (and Happy New Year in Him :)


Two options for those who have asked how to take that first (sometimes seemingly overwhelming) step in serving with the King our 350-400 tent-dwelling homeless neighbors along Fountain Creek.


Question: If Jesus flew into Colorado Springs tomorrow with a 5-day layover, WHAT WOULD HE DO WITH THOSE 5 DAYS?
Answer: Likely the same thing He did 1,975 years ago: choose personal homelessness and serve the underserved back into the Abundant Life only available by stepping into life in the Kingdom of God.


(a) Please feel free to join us any or every Tuesday and Thursday morning for our Faith Discussion Group / Bible Study for the homeless where (a) homeless men and (b) "suburbies" (us suburban Christians) meet to share God's offer of Abundant Life regardless of socio-economic status. There you can meet and build relationships and ministry opportunities with these men who desire to follow Christ and serve Him moment-by-moment.

free coffee for the homeless and the rest of us :)


(b) Tomorrow (Saturday) at 2pm we'll walk Fountain Creek campsite-to-campsite with our homeless Christian brothers and distribute tent-warming candles, clothing, toilet paper, hand warmers, tents and tarps and blankets, etc. ... Build relationships the easy way :)
