About Soprano Stephanie Ann Ball

Passionate about sharing the joy of classical music, Ms. Ball actively engages her community through educational outreach with organizations like Opera Theatre of Saint Louis’ Artist in Training Preparatory Program, Arizona Opera, and Central City Opera. Her journey into classical voice began in childhood, influenced by her parents—her father, a funk drummer, and her mother, who introduced her to classical and gospel music. A natural performer, she discovered her love for opera in high school, continuing her studies at Northern Arizona University and earning a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Washington University in St. Louis. Now based in Philadelphia, she is becoming part of its musical community. Offstage, she enjoys pastries, browsing animal rescue sites for bunnies, and wandering around an office supply store.

All About Love - A Flight of Operas

Part of the Opera 2030 Initiative

Saturday, February 22, 2025 - 7:00 PM

Broadmoor Community Church

Elle is a woman looking for love. All About Love tells Elle’s story as she navigates three different decades of her life, and three different stages of her relationships. We start in Elle’s college years, struggling with the ups and downs of young love. Then, happiness abounds with an upbeat comedy that ends in a successful marriage proposal. Finally, we check into Elle’s marriage a decade later to see that not all has ended exactly as expected. Each of these stories takes the form of a different short opera. These three bite-sized opera samples - this flight of operas, if you will - is the perfect way to introduce opera to newcomers, or sample three different styles for those experienced opera-goers.
