Dear Friends,

We borrowed the name of our June 2025 show from Kings of Leon's most recent album titled Can We Please Have Fun? I have my own reasons for asking that question --and my guess is you do, too. 

We sing because songs offer a place to hold ALL of us, our uncertainty and our inherent joy, our unexplainable delight and what weighs on us. We sing to feel and to feel a greater resonance with the world, the best of ourselves and our capacities, and the best of humanity. 

We sing because all throughout history and the hardest of times, songs have been there to help us lift our spirits, transcend mortal turmoil and ground us in our truest and best selves.

Having fun is a way of saying we will not be limited, restricted or made smaller by anyone or anything. It is a form of resistance. 

Can we please have fun? Yes, we can and we must. 

Join us on June 5th as Vocal Journeys singers take the stage, each answering the question in their own way. As always, come for the music and stay for the inspiration.
