Youth Council Banquet

Youth Council Banquet- April 3rd 2010

We have the tickets for the NAACP Youth Council Banquet. This is a fundraiser for your NAACP Youth Council. The Banquet will be held on April 3rd 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Circle Drive and I-25, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The tickets are $30 per person. We need you to start getting commitments for these tickets now. Talk to your parents and lock them in, talk to your coaches, your pastors and fellow church members, talk to your friends and anybody else who might enjoy a fun evening out. There will be excellent food along with three excellent speakers:



Anthony Carter - NAACP member and past Youth Council member and an ACT-SO participant; Currently an El Pomar Foundation Fellow



Jennifer Dodd - NAACP member and past Youth Council member; Program Associate at El Pomar Foundation; El Pomar Fellowship Alumni; Currently an Olympic Education Program Lead at U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA)



R.C. Johnson – Current member of U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team; U.S. World Team Trials champion; Second in U.S. Nationals; Second in Dave Schultz Memorial International; Third in Vehbe Emri Grand Prix; Attends the Univ. of Colorado-Colorado Springs working towards a Doctorate in Computer Science



Additionally we will have live entertainment and performances from some of our 2010 ACT-SO Team.



For those needing tickets, please meet with us on Saturday, March 20th at 12:pm. We will be there with the ACT-SO group and will have the tickets for you to sell.



Everyone is also invited to the ACT-SO competition on March 27th at Colorado College, Packard Hall from 12pm to 2pm. We have competitors in Poetry, Original Essay, Vocal Music and Dance. Come to cheer them on. This is a FREE event.
