CollegeinColorado is having a free application week. If you have kids log on www.CollegeInColorado.org and click on the College Application Week, they will be directed to a PDF form to use with guidelines. Also CC said if you call, they will waive the fee. I don’t know if that is true of other institutions but all they can say is no. The other thing that was emphasized repeatedly at CC, and we were informed that it applies to private institutions everywhere, is that if you get in, they will insure that your tuition is covered, so if you have the need and the FAFSA indicates parents contribution should be 2000 a year, they will find the other 47,000. It does require that you have parents complete the FAFSA. Regina Walter
The Gazette: "Application fees for high school students applying to Colorado's colleges and universities are waived for this week only. Through Sunday (11/8/09), occupational, technical two-year and four-year post-secondary schools across the state aren't charging students to submit an application. For more information, go to www.collegeincolorado.org"
