Beloved Vocal Journeys Community,

Our May 2024 show, Dear Insecurity, celebrates the journey of how life becomes repertoire. We sing what we suffer, what we delight in, what we are navigating to become whole. When we sing, we meet all of ourselves, from the insecure to the unstoppable. Quite magically, often surprisingly, singing brings us into contact with our entire lives, our relationships and how we move in the world. Realizing how we have left ourselves in order to "do life," to fit in, accommodate others, be who we think we should be, we sing to return to our essential selves. We sing for the joy of it, and because we are human, that joy includes grief, wrestling, love, heartbreak, struggle, the stuff of life that imbues songs with dimension and depth. Lo and Behold! Life becomes repertoire!
