• 🎷 Fourth of July Jazz at brother jeff’s 🎶 Featuring Carl Jackson & Concepts A Tribute to the Legendary Charlie Burrell Friday, July 4 | 7–9PM brother jeff’s Cultural Center | 2836 Welton Street, Historic Five Points Join us for a special Fourth of July Jazz celebration featuring Carl Jackson and Concepts—the evening’s featured artists—who will also lead a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Charlie Burrell. Known as the “Jackie Robinson of Classical Music,” Burrell broke racial barriers as the first Black musician in a major American symphony orchestra. A foundational figure in Denver’s jazz and classical scenes, his recent passing reminds us of the powerful legacy he left behind—one that continues to inspire generations.
