My name is Ashley Cornelius and I am the Co-Director of Poetry719, the Board President of Poetry Heals and the creator of the Pikes Peak Poetry Summit. I am excited to announce that the summit previously hosted under my Pikes Peak Poet Laureate program is now being hosted by Poetry719 and Poetry Heals! 

 

I am writing to invite you to the 4th annual Pikes Peak Poetry Summit April 26 from 8:30am-3:30pm at the Manitou Art Center  (513 Manitou Ave, Manitou Springs, CO 80829). There will also be a slam hosted by the Pikes Peak Art Council following the event at 6pm at Stompin' Groundz (2050 Jet Wing Dr, COS, CO 80916). This is a free event open to the community, all ages and levels. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!

Attend the Peak Poetry Summit and open yourself to new ideas through powerful artistry. This year’s theme is “Art that Inspires” and talents from across Colorado have been invited to share and celebrate this creative form. Join us for a day of exploring poetry and celebrating creativity with our community. This year’s Pikes Peak Poetry Summit is on Sat., April 26 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at The Manitou Art Center (513 Manitou Ave, Manitou Springs, CO 80829).The summit offers a unique opportunity to celebrate writing and self-expression whether you are a seasoned poet, embarking on your exploration of this diverse art form, or just a lover of poetry. You will be inspired, improve your craft, share your words, and learn more about poetry locally and across the state. Engage with our poetry workshops and experience amazing poetry and dance performances. We look forward to celebrating poetry with our community. Let poetry and art inspire you now and into the future. All ages are welcome.
